About the Library

Suggest a Resource

All staff and students can suggest resources they believe should be added to the Library collection.

There is a Library policy on purchasing resources to support teaching, learning and research.

    • Suggestions to purchase may be made using the Purchase Request form
    • Wherever available the Library acquires electronic versions of resources, in preference to print
    • All requests will be considered and you will be advised if the title is purchased
    • Students are expected to purchase their own textbooks
    • Please request the purchase of new teaching items at least 2 months before they are required to allow time for acquisition and processing
    • New subscriptions may be suggested using the Subscription Request form
    • To manage our subscriptions and ensure that collections are aligned with the strategic priorities of the University Selection Criteria are in place for the purchase and retention of journals and databases
    • The advice of the Academic Library Service Team may be sought at any time to assist in the selection, retention or cancellation of individual journals and database subscriptions
