Experience the journey of an astronomical event with a guided tour from our astronomy educators.

Martin will explain how the eclipse occurs along with a guided tour of the night sky in the Planetarium. Mary and Des will be outside showing you the constellations in the real night sky, answering any questions and talk you through the lunar eclipse.

Time: arrive from 6.45pm for a 7.15pm start until approx 9pm

Location: UniSA Mawson Lakes lawn area next to the Planetarium (signs will be out to guide you to the area)

Partial eclipse begins at 7.15pm, moon in total eclipse from 8.41pm-8.56pm, partial eclipse ends at 10.23pm

Planetarium sessions: Session 1: 7.30pm-7.50pm and Session 2: 8pm-8.20pm - If you wish to attend a Planetarium session, registration is essential. Limited seats available. Click here to book

Rug up, bring along your blanket/chairs, drinks (no alcohol), nibbles and binoculars/telescope.
